Steps:

Connect the vehicle with laptop using BMW ENET Coding Cable and turn the vehicle ignition on.

Run BMWAiCoder.exe from the extracted folder.

When you run the program, the first firewall access pop-up may appear. Please select Allow access.

After running the program, the keyword download window will open automatically. Choose English and press the “Download” button.

After that you can use this software!

Press “1.DetectCar”then “2.Connect” to connect software with the vehicle.

Click “3.Get ECUs List” button to get the entire ECU modules list.

Now you can select the module you want to code from the list.

For example, to turn off the passenger seat belt warning, you can go to “01 ACSM” module, click “Read” button, select the parameter “Passenger seat belt warning”, change it to OFF then click “Write” button to confirm it.

If you want to cancel the modification and return to the original value, click the “Restore” button.

Tip 1:

All ENET cables are the same! You don’t need to buy the most expensive one because they all do the same thing.

This however doesn’t apply to K+DCAN cables for E series coding because they are completely different.

BMW ENET Cable using tips:

1. When connecting to your car through E-sys, make sure you set the ignition on without starting the car. This is important or you won’t have the option to connect through VIN (it will be grey under the target menu).

2. When DIY coding, make sure you place the laptop on the passenger seat or in your lap without moving around too much. If the Ethernet port is not exactly in tip top shape it could move or disconnect.

That’s not an issue when not doing any actual coding but could be an issue when E-sys is writing the values on the module you’re working on. You could corrupt the module data and it`s not the most fortunate of situations.

It can be fixed but you’ll ever never want to get to that point, so always pay attention to what you’re doing.

3. When disconnecting the Ethernet port, don’t just pull the cable! Always press the top side to release it first.

4. Most F series cars will have the OBD2 port under the dash, above the pedals. Location of the OBD2 port is where the BMW ENET cable is connected.
